https://blinkyellow140.weebly.com/transfer-music-from-apple-music-to-spotify-free.html. Google’s Wear OS platform has had a Spotify app for a while, but it’s only ever had the ability to play music on your phone or on connected devices throughout the home. When questioned about why the app can’t store music offline on Wear OS smartwatches, Spotify said it was “impossible.”
In a community request forum, Spotify marked offline playback for Wear OS as “implemented” (via Android Central), but it turns out that was a mistake. Hours later, the feature was moved back to “under consideration,” but a statement from a community manager stands:
Spotify is a digital music service that gives you access to millions of songs. Spotify Click the install file to finish up. If your download didn't start, try again. Visit the Microsoft Store to download. Bring your music to mobile and tablet, too. Listening on your phone or tablet is free, easy, and fun. Free Mobile App. While Google Play is by no means perfect, Google is one of the few app store operators big enough to put every app through some kind of vetting process, and as a result, users have been anywhere.
Tap Apps & notifications. Tap Google Play Store. If you don't see it, tap See all apps or App info. At the top of the screen, tap More Uninstall updates. If you’re asked if you want to change the Play Store app back to the factory version, tap OK. Open the Google Play Store, then try your download again.
We have a lot of very good idea submissions in this Idea Exchange. We love getting all your ideas; and we’re even happier when we can set any idea to Implemented. However, when we have ideas like this one, that are very broad in nature, it becomes virtually impossible to set it to Implemented because Wear OS (in this case) is a big category and encapsulates many devices. All (wearable) devices are different and support different features; either because of their platform, their software, or their hardware (limitations.)
There’s a lot to unpack there. Saying that this is “impossible” when the feature has been implemented across every Android phone, every Samsung smartwatch, and every Windows PC is quite laughable and obviously not the real reason. In fact, it’s probably easier to implement this feature on Wear OS compared to other platforms given the small number of specification differences there are between various models.
Why is Spotify holding back? It’s entirely possible it’s just a case of the company not seeing enough value added to justify the development time, but in any case, it’s understandable that Wear OS users are frustrated by this, especially given the miscommunication that happened on the forums this morning. For now, we’ll just have to continue to wait on this one.
It’s a shame this isn’t happening too, because the Google Play Music app for Wear OS was one of the only ways to get offline music easily, and it’s been murdered without a replacement.

Sameer Samat, vice president of product management at Google, on Google’s Android Developer Blog:
We want to be sure our policies are clear and up to date so theycan be applied consistently and fairly to all developers, and sowe have clarified the language in our Payments Policy to bemore explicit that all developers selling digital goods in theirapps are required to use Google Play’s billing system.
Again, this isn’t new. This has always been the intention of thislong standing policy and this clarification will not affect thevast majority of developers with apps on Google Play. Less than 3%of developers with apps on Play sold digital goods over the last12 months, and of this 3%, the vast majority (nearly 97%) alreadyuse Google Play’s billing. But for those who already have an appon Google Play that requires technical work to integrate ourbilling system, we do not want to unduly disrupt their roadmapsand are giving a year (until September 30, 2021) to complete anyneeded updates. And of course we will require Google’s apps thatdo not already use Google Play’s billing system to make thenecessary updates as well.
Spotify Free Music App
This whole blog post is rather opaque. Basically they’re saying two things. First, big whales like Spotify and Netflix that have been using their own credit card processing in their Android apps need to switch to Google’s system for the apps they distribute via the Play Store by next year. Most reports are mentioning Spotify and Netflix here, but unless I’m missing something this policy change (or as Google claims, “clarification”) will also apply to Apple Music — the Android version of which charges users who sign up in the app directly, not via Google Play. The fact that Apple forces all subscription streaming services to use Apple’s in-app payments on iOS but doesn’t use Google’s on Android for Apple Music has been a source of much heckling.
Second, in a masterful jujitsu move turning Epic’s own language about “fairness” to its own advantage, Google is making a vague promise about making it easier to use third-party app stores on Android:
In response to that feedback, we will be making changes inAndroid 12 (next year’s Android release) to make it even easierfor people to use other app stores on their devices while beingcareful not to compromise the safety measures Android has inplace. We are designing all this now and look forward to sharingmore in the future!
Spotify Google Play Store App Download
There are no additional details, just that. But they’re presenting it as the main thrust of today’s announcement, not the move to require Spotify/Netflix/et al to use Google’s payment system for apps in the Play Store.
